Dear diary: I started a blog!
Seriously, this has been a long time coming for me. I am one of those people that needs multiple outlets for my creativity and the first ten slots were filled by photography already.
So what to make this first post about? Probably my introduction. I am a junior in college in North Carolina but I'm originally from Nashville, TN. I am pursuing grad school for Strategic Communication (my major) and am double-minoring in History and Social Media Marketing. One of these is obviously not like the other one but more on that in a later post.
I love my school but I love Nashville more. I spend all of my breaks exploring the city and taking pictures of everyone and everything (most don't turn out good or else they'd be on this website) while experiencing the city at the same time. I believe wholeheartedly that in order to take the best pictures possible, you need to experience who, what, and where you are shooting. Get to know your model, buy them coffee, ask them about their hobbies. Explore the city or town you're in whether it's miles long or just one street light. Lastly, get to know what you are shooting: try the food or play with the product. Experience makes great pictures.
That was a really long tangent to say I'm passionate about what I do because photography is a passport. A passport to anything, anyone, and anywhere in the world and sure it's hard work at times but nothing good is easy.
